| Quality assurance programs provide confidence in the accuracy and reproducibility of medical test results. A complete quality assurance programme must include adherence to procedure by staff and routine quality control of all instruments in order to meet accreditation and regulatory requirements. HEMOCHRON offers an array of quality control products to meet regulatory needs. For simple and cost effective daily verification of instrument performance, reusable electronic quality control tubes are available. Liquid quality control products are available to help meet the quality control requirements specified under the "Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment of 1988" (CLIA '88). | HEMOCHRON Jr. Electronic Quality Control |
 Electronic
quality control (EQC) verifies quality control of the HEMOCHRON Jr.
instruments with a numerical reading. Two levels (1 normal and 1
abnormal) of EQC should be performed every eight hours the test system
is in use. EQC is used in conjunction with wet QC control products,
which are used to validate each box of reagents. Refer to the recommended
protocol in the instrument operator manual. |
